Renault announced the introduction of new electric trucks

Renault Trucks

Renault Trucks announced the introduction of new electric trucks for regional long-haul transport and the construction industry. Renault Trucks aspires to provide electric trucks for every possible use. Since 2020, Renault has offered electric trucks manufactured in France with gross weights ranging from 3.1 to 26 tons. Within the next two years, the Renault Trucks line will expand by two new models with a combined weight of up to 44 tons: the Renault Trucks T E-Tech for regional long-distance transport and the Renault Trucks C E-Tech for construction site transport.

Two to three electric motors with a combined capacity of up to 490 kW (666 hp) will power the new Renault Trucks E-Tech variants. In addition, two to six lithium-ion battery packs are included, providing a storage capacity of 180 to 540 kWh. A complete charge with an alternating current should take up to 9.5 hours at a rate of up to 43 kW. DC Fast charging with a maximum output of 250 kW should take 2.5 hours to charge the electric vehicle. According to the manufacturer, the range is up to 300 kilometers on a single charge and may be increased to 500 kilometers with a one-hour 250 kW rapid charge.

The Renault T and Renault C E-Tech versions have three different power take-off options to accommodate any construction or application: electric, electromechanical, or gearbox. In addition, the new electric trucks will come in a variety of configurations, including 4×2 and 6×2 tractor units, as well as 4×2, 6×2, and 8×4 tridem vehicles.

The Renault Trucks facility in Bourg-en-Bresse, France, manufactures the T and C E-Tech trucks. In the first quarter of 2023, we will see the start of sales. Renault Trucks' goal is to produce 50% of its sales volume from electric cars by 2030. @via Renault Trucks.
