Eric Laforge will take over management of the Jeep brand in Europe on February 1, 2023. Antonella Bruno, who was in charge of the Peugeot brand in the same region, has been replaced. Uwe Hochschurtz, CEO of Stellantis in the Extended Europe region, and Christian Meunier, CEO of the Jeep brand, will be Eric Laforge's immediate supervisors.
Eric Laforge began working at FCA in 1990, shortly after graduating from the École Supérieure de Gestion et Finance (ESGF) in Paris. After working in commercial capacities for FCA in France and Italy for a while, he took on the role of CEO for FCA Switzerland and later FCA Germany. Eric Laforge was the Director of MOPAR Parts & Services for the Minor Markets from 2015 to 2018 and then the Director of Central Europe (CH/B/NL/AT) for cars and light commercial vehicles from 2019 to 2020. After leading the Fiat Professional division for a year, in 2021, he was promoted to lead the Light Commercial Vehicle division in Extended Europe.
President and CEO of the Jeep Division, Christian Meunier, said: "We are expanding our product line in Europe with the introduction of the new Jeep Avenger, and I am thrilled to have Eric join our team. It's the first Jeep SUV to run on pure electricity, and it's also the first Jeep vehicle to win European Car of the Year. In a location where we sell only pure electric vehicles after 2030, Eric's 30 years of knowledge in those areas will be crucial. Antonella Bruno has done an outstanding job, and I appreciate all of her hard work and dedication. I wish her the best of luck in her new position."
