Polestar is reacting to increased demand for electric vehicles by expanding its test drive capacity. Polestar is extending its network of so-called test drive hubs in response to the high demand for test drives, beginning with six new locations in Germany. Polestar 2 will be available at additional sites in Baden-Baden, Bremen, Freiburg, Lüneburg, Rostock, and Traunstein beginning in mid-March 2022. Müllheim in southern Baden and Kolbermoor in mid-April will also be included. Existing test drive locations in Fürth, Karlsruhe, Kempten, and Saarbrücken will remain operational. Additionally, a second Testdrive Hub will open just outside of Berlin.
At least two cars will be available for test drives in the test drive hubs beginning in late March, including Polestar 2 Standard Range Single Motor model and the powerful Polestar 2 Long Range Dual Motor. Appointments for test drives may be scheduled in advance on Polestar.com with a few simple clicks.
Polestar is therefore broadening its test drive availability outside of major cities and increasing accessibility for interested parties. In addition, the brand is reacting to Germany's rising demand for electric automobiles.
The Testdrive Hubs supplement the Polestar Spaces, where commission-free professionals give on-site advice on Polestar electric vehicles and electromobility in general. Polestar Spaces are located in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne, Munich, and Stuttgart, with one location in Leipzig. Polestar Powerstop, which opened recently in Irschenberg at the DINZLER coffee roasting factory, is also included. As with the Polestar Spaces, Polestar collaborates with famous Volvo network partners on the Testdrive Hubs.
"Our objective is to continue to advance electromobility in Germany. The most effective method to do this is to confront the issue directly by driving an electric car. To comprehend what electric mobility is all about, you must feel an electric automobile as interesting as the Polestar. By expanding our Testdrive Hubs, we are enabling interested parties to have this one-of-a-kind experience in their neighborhood and making it simpler to access our vehicles," explains Alexander Lutz, Managing Director Polestar Germany.
Polestar electric cars are solely offered online via direct-to-consumer sales. Polestar Spaces, Polestar Destinations, Handover Centers, and Test Drive Hubs were developed to facilitate the brand experience, test drives, car delivery, and, therefore, connect online and offline sales.
There are Polestar Service Points, a comprehensive service network maintained in collaboration with Volvo dealers, where skilled technicians do professional maintenance and repair work. Polestar provides this approved service at over 200 sites in Germany and hundreds more around Europe.
