The new Fiat Scudo electric minivan can carry anything and go anywhere

Fiat Scudo electric minivan

The new Fiat Scudo is an evolved electric minivan based on the Stellantis Mid-Van platform, available with a 100% electric drive system and the latest generation diesel engine. The Fiat Scudo thus becomes the second Fiat Professional commercial vehicle also available in an electric version, joining the Fiat E-Ducato, launched in April this year. A broader offer to meet the needs of a varied clientele made up of true professionals for whom their vehicle is, above all, a work tool.

The Fiat e-Scudo has the best autonomy in its class (330 km - WLTP), which is ideal for those who work in the city in the surroundings.

The zero-emission version also boasts unique flexibility, with two battery sizes: 50 and 75 kWh, up to 11 kW recharge capacity in AC and up to 100 kW in DC, to charge the largest capacity battery to 80% in just 45 minutes. The payload capacity does not change regardless of the powertrain. The payload stands out in the segment: up to 6.6 m3 load compartment volume, a payload of up to more than 1 tonne, and, in addition, a towing capacity of 1 ton.

Particularly noteworthy are its compact exterior dimensions, less than 5 meters in length for the basic version and 1.9 m in height, making the Scudo suitable for any use, ensuring the necessary agility in the urban environment. The windshield display screen provides vital information without distracting the driver and reduces stress. The passenger car-like driving position ensures an excellent comfort level, while the elevated seating position ensures optimal visibility of the road ahead. An ergonomic step in the cabin guarantees easy accessibility. In addition, the new Scudo offers a full suite of 14 safety features and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) devices.

The Fiat Scudo electric minivan is also available for passenger transport, for commercial or private use. Fully configurable up to 9 seats. The seats are folded to increase the load capacity as needed. And the folding dividing walls allow transporting three more people than a van. The dimensions are another of the strong points of the model: the height of 1.90 meters makes the storage compartments in the cargo area easily accessible. Combined with a length of 5m and up to 5.3m in the Maxi version, the result is an electric minivan that can carry anything and go anywhere. Also available for specific needs in the city is the exclusive 'S' version, which brings together all the advantages of the Scudo in just 4.6 meters.

It also features a special kind of cabin modularity courtesy of the exclusive Moduwork system, which transforms the passenger seat into a workstation and load compartment extension to carry objects up to 4 meters long and increase volume by 0.5 m3, up to a total capacity of 6.6 m3. Thus, the vehicle is flexible enough for any requirement and any customer, from hydraulic operators and shipbuilders to the needs of home delivery professionals.

Finally, there are engines to suit all needs. In addition to the Fiat Scudo 100% electric minivan version, equipped with a 136 hp electric motor, four diesel engines are also available: 1.5-liter in the 102 or 120 hp version, with a 6-speed manual gearbox; 2.0 liters in a manual or automatic version of 8 speeds and 145 hp.
