How to Make Your BMW 5 Series or i5 Stand Out with M Performance Parts

BMW 5 Series or BMW i5

The BMW 5 Series is one of the world's most successful and popular business sedans, combining refined sportiness and high-level comfort. The new eighth generation of the BMW 5 Series, which will debut in October 2023, features a more athletic and elegant design and a new all-electric variant, the BMW i5. If you want to make your 5 Series or i5 even more distinctive and dynamic, consider the new M Performance Parts that will be available at the same time as the market launch.

The M Performance Parts are model-specific accessories that enhance your BMW's appearance, performance, and driving feel. They are developed by BMW M GmbH, the high-performance division of BMW, and are perfectly matched to the geometry and design of the BMW 5 Series and i5 models. Whether you opt for the M Sport Package or the M Sport Package Pro, you can find a variety of M Performance Parts that suit your personal taste and preferences.

We will give you an overview of the M Performance Parts range for the new BMW 5 Series Sedan and the new BMW i5 and show you how they can transform your car into a unique and exciting machine.

Aerodynamic and Exterior Parts: Carbon Fiber Galore

One of the most noticeable ways to upgrade your 5 Series or i5 is to add some M Performance aerodynamic and exterior parts. These parts are made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP), a lightweight and strong material widely used in motorsport. The CFRP parts are sealed with clear lacquer to achieve a high-quality finish and give your car a sharp and sporty look from all angles.

At the front and rear of the body, you can choose from several options to spice up your car's appearance. The four-part M Performance Carbon front attachment adds some flair to the bumper, while the M Performance Carbon Pro rear spoiler and the three-part M Performance rear diffuser made of aramid fiber create a distinctive, racing-oriented look. Aramid fiber is another composite material that is known for its high strength and heat resistance. If you prefer a more subtle rear spoiler, you can also opt for a primed M Performance rear spoiler that can be painted in any color.

On the sides of the car, you can add some more carbon fiber elements to enhance the profile of your vehicle. The M Performance Carbon side skirt attachments give your car more visual length and depth while also improving its aerodynamics. To complement the side skirts, you can also apply some M Performance accent stripes in Frozen Black, which are matte anthracite stripes that feature the M Performance lettering. These stripes emphasize the dynamically flowing lines of your car and create a nice contrast with the body color. Alternatively, you can choose the M Performance side skirt films, which consist of a striking curved line in matte grey.

To complete the exterior makeover, you can also replace some of the original parts with carbon fiber versions. For example, you can swap the exterior mirror caps with M Performance Carbon mirror caps, which have a glossy finish and a sporty shape. You can also cover the antenna with an M Performance Aramid antenna cover, which has a matte finish and a hexagonal pattern.

All of these aerodynamic and exterior parts are specially designed for the new BMW 5 Series Sedan and the new BMW i5 with M Sport Package or M Sport Package Pro. They are tested and approved according to the strict BMW Group quality guidelines and do not require any additional registration with the regulatory authorities.

Interior Parts: A Touch of Luxury

If you want to make your interior as stylish and comfortable as possible, you can also find some M Performance Parts that will enhance your driving experience. These parts are designed to add some luxury and exclusivity to your cabin while also improving its functionality and ergonomics.

One of the first things you will notice when you enter your car is the door sill plates. You can upgrade them to M Performance Carbon door sill plates, which have an illuminated M Performance lettering that welcomes you every time you open the door. The door sill plates are made of CFRP with a high-gloss finish and are powered by batteries that do not need any wiring.

Another way to add some elegance to your interior is to get some velour floor mats with synthetic leather edges and contrasting stitching. The front mats have an M Performance embroidery and the iconic M colors, while the rear mats have a simple black design. The velours floor mats are durable and easy to clean and have an anti-slip backing that keeps them in place.

To protect your key from scratches and dirt, you can also get an M Performance key case, which is made of Nappa leather with a carbon fiber effect and Alcantara. The key case has an elegant design that matches your interior trim and has an integrated snap hook that allows you to attach it to your belt or bag. The key case also has an M Performance lettering and an M logo, as well as a blue hexagonal screw that adds some character.

If you have a combustion or plug-in hybrid version of the BMW 5 Series Sedan, you can also add some flair to your fuel filler cap with an M Performance Carbon fuel filler cap. This is a stick-on accessory that attaches to the existing cap with adhesive tape and has a glossy CFRP finish and an M logo.

Chassis Parts: Performance and Handling

If you are looking for some more performance and handling from your 5 Series or i5, you can also upgrade your chassis with some M Performance Parts. These parts are designed to improve your car's dynamics, stability, and braking while also giving it a more aggressive stance.

One of the most important chassis upgrades you can get is a new set of wheels. The M Performance Parts range offers several options for different sizes and styles of wheels, depending on your drive type and preference. For example, you can get the 21-inch M Performance Cross-spoke wheels, which are available in Jet Black gloss or Frozen Midnight Grey for all drive types. These wheels have a striking design that showcases the brake system and are made of forged aluminum that reduces the unsprung mass.

If you prefer a smaller wheel size, you can also opt for the matte black 19-inch Y-Spoke wheels, which are available for summer and winter, except for the BMW i5 M60 xDrive model. These wheels have a sporty and elegant design that suits any body color and are made of cast aluminum that offers high strength and durability.

To complement your new wheels, you can also upgrade your brake system with the M Performance 20-inch brakes, which have red-painted calipers that contrast with the wheel color. The brake system has larger brake discs and four-piston fixed calipers at the front and single-piston floating calipers at the rear, which provide more braking power and fade resistance. The brake system also has perforated and grooved brake discs that improve heat dissipation and reduce brake dust.

The new BMW 5 Series Sedan and the new BMW i5 are already impressive vehicles that offer a great balance of performance, comfort, and efficiency. However, if you want to make your car even more unique and exciting, you can customize it with the new M Performance Parts that will be available in October 2023.

The M Performance Parts range offers a variety of options for aerodynamic, interior, and chassis parts that enhance your car's appearance, performance, and driving feel. Whether you want to add some carbon fiber elements, some luxury accessories, or some sporty wheels and brakes, you can find something that suits your personal taste and preferences.

The M Performance Parts are developed by BMW M GmbH, the high-performance division of BMW, and are perfectly matched to the geometry and design of the 5 Series and i5 models. They are also tested and approved according to the strict BMW Group quality guidelines and do not require any additional registration with the regulatory authorities.
